President Bush won 61 percent of the vote in the district in 2004. But a poll conducted for Latta’s campaign last week showed him trailing Weirauch by four points, according to a GOP operative.
Hmmmm… a bird told me that Latta was up by three. I think this is going to be a close one either way. It’s all about turnout, in December, bad weather, and all that. I’m genuinely curious as to what happens. Usually bad weather helps the GOP as it’s Democrats who are usually the margin voters. The big Urbanity here would be Toledo.
If Latta does win, Buehrer should stay out of the primary next time and vice versa if Weirauch wins, Buehrer should get the next shot at her.
I do want to note that the disgruntled loser telling their folks to stay home. Yeah that happened in 2005 with Jean Schmidt and it wasn’t enough to matter.
maybe i’m being silly here, but regarding what you wrote here:
“If Latta does win, Buehrer should stay out of the primary next time and vice versa if Weirauch wins, Buehrer should get the next shot at her.”
Wouldn’t you think first about finding someone more appealing than either of them? I would think, just from what I’ve read, that that wouldn’t be so hard??
Well, that may be true, but to me they are equally appealing on the issues, I didn’t have a quibble on that score.
Hmm - okay - I’ll take you saying that they are okay on the issues. But what about their behavior, Dave? You okay with how they campaigned and conceivably would carry on as congressmen?
Btw, I meant okay FOR YOU on the issues.
Obviously I am not okay with their positions on the issues, but we all know that. Just wanted to clarify.
Obviously
Sure I didn’t mean to exclusively say that no one else could run.
