Vic Wulsin claiming McEwen Support

too good to pass up and a hat tip to wmd and  bellwetherdaily:

Vic Wulsin in a comment on her posting at firedoglake…

Actually, let’s pause to let that sink in for a moment.  Jean Schmidt’s opponent in the 2nd district is posting at firedoglake.

Ok now that we’ve painted  a picture of who Vic Wulsin really is, let’s get to the meat, here’s her comment in the comments (if it is her):

The 2nd District has some very interesting dynamics. Congressman Bob McEwen [OH-R] called this morning to congratulate me. He said that at his dinner table last night, the other six guests - all Republicans - had chosen Democratic ballots and voted for, yep, Vic Wulsin! He says the Repubs want her OUT (he barely lost to her in the ‘06 primary, so remember where he’s coming from) and want a reasonable alternative. So, I’d like to think some of the crossing-over comes from a desire to get Schmidt out. As an epidemiologist, I look forward to crunching some numbers to see where the biggest “crossing-over” occurred, and how that affected the Clinton:Obama ratio and the Wulsin:Black ratio.

The her in this case being obviously Jean Schmidt.  Unfortunately everything I’ve seen about McEwen and his actions reinforces the story.

Those of us following 2nd district politics who have opposed Bob (R-Check Scandal) McEwen feel completely validated.  The Republican party is up against a wall and McEwen and friends are throwing grenades into the HQ tent.

  1. This spinjob is the harbinger of ugly things to come between now and November from the Wulsin campaign. Jean is ready, willing and able to beat Malaria Victoria by at least 6-8 points. But from the Dems we can expect junk, garbage, spin, lies and generally Democrat kinds of campaign practices. So what’s new….

  2. Maybe we ought to be calling her “Virus Vic”

  3. Bill, I’m calling her “Malaria Victoria” and “Ickey Vicky.”

  4. As usual, jumping to conclusions regarding anything that could be criticial of Mean Jean Schmidt.

The only source here is what Wulsin claims McEwen told her, and Wulsin has quite the self-interest in inflating claiming all Republican support she can. Even if we took everything Wulsin said to be true, where did it claim McEwen was personally doing anything to assist her? The claim was friends of McEwen voted in a Democratic primary for Wulsin. Do you control what your friends do? Neither does McEwen.

Next, the claim is that Republicans crossed over to vote in a Democratic primary to get rid of Mean Jean. That doesn’t even pass the smell test. If someone wanted to get rid of Mean Jean, the best thing to do this week would have been to pick up a Republican ballot and vote for Brinkman. Voting for Wulsin over Black doesn’t do anything to spare us 2 more years of Mean Jean.

Now if we are going to claim that one person is responsible for what their friends do, then Mean Jean has a lot of explaining to do. Her good friend Leslie Ghiz endorsed Democrat David Pepper for County Commissioner in 2006, helping Democrats take control of the Commission. Her good friend John Dowlin endorsed Democrat David Pepper for County Commissioner in 2006, helping Democrats take control of the Commission.

Her good friend Mary Walker is on her way to joining Kay Rogers in prison. Another good friend of Mean Jean, Clermont Prosecutor White, allowed a white woman who fried her baby in the back seat of her Lexus to walk free without even attempting to charge her. If I’m to hold what McEwen’s adults friends do against him, then it looks like I’ve got a long list of grievances against Mean Jean for what her friends do.

  5. Oh, I neglected to include the COAST freaks alongside the Democrats in my first comment. They, too, will be doing their best between now and November to smear Congresswoman Jean Schmidt and everyone associated with her, particularly since she beat their co-founder, Brinky, by 17 points in the 3/4 OH-2 GOP primary. Pay them no mind. They never have anything of substance to say.
