Singer-songwriter is presented in the Federal District with the most select of his repertoire of boleros

Mexico City (FEB/08/2012)-Carlos Cuevas, one of the most prominent exponents of the bolero in Mexico, invited his followers to him to enjoy a romantic evening, on 16 February, in the Lunario of the National Auditorium of the Federal District, which will have as guests to Aida Cuevas, Ricardo Caballero and Hugo Jordan.

Cuevas, who had announced this action will be to launch a live DVD which will be collection, added that he wanted to give it a taste bringing long time in mind, because before he had recorded other presentations, but always accompanied by other personalities.

With regard to the difficult times facing the bolero, with little diffusion and spaces for the exponents of the genre, singer emphasized that not only the bolero is living this situation, but also the ballad, rock and even regional Mexican, and warned that it is practically guilt of piracy that has plunged the industry in a slump.

He acknowledged that the only forum for the dissemination of the bolero in Mexico is probably the television program that he leads, and which airs from Guadalajara, through Channel 4. “The idea was to be only for three months, and already we are going for the year, since we started in May of last year and I accepted because I antepuse a condition: I would choose the guests, and have been all those who truly sing”.  

He noted that various exponents like Manoella Torres, Arianna, Martín Urieta, Manuel Mijares, Edith Márquez, and Napoleon, among others, in “in the beginning some were reluctant because they believed that they would only sing one or two themes of their records and let’s go which still” have passed through its broadcast.
