His style, classic, but modern, includes accessories such as hats and headdresses, and precisely is an association specialising in these recent additions which gave him an award.

The Duchess of Cambridge received a degree of the Headwear Association, which named it person with hat of the year.

For peculiar nomination were also referred to other famous personalities such as the Stylist Rachel Zoe and the American singer Ne-Yo.

The Headwear Association has 130 years of history. Its mission is to promote the use of hat and garment industry specializing to the head of the world, as well as to foster camaraderie among those working in the field.

The Headwear Association is the oldest institution in the hat trade.

It originated thanks to a chance meeting of hat vendors, who made a trip to Pittsburgh, in 1907.

The first meeting was held New York Waldorf Astoria (then at 34th Street), on 30 January 1908.

The participants signed a letter which stated that its sole purpose was “to promote the spirit of brotherhood in the hat trade”.
