Sunday, October 12 will be elections to elect new Venezuelan President

CARACAS, VENEZUELA (09/FEB/2012)-the Venezuelan President, Hugo Chávez, said today that it intends to “demolish” in the presidential elections of October 7 the candidate will lift Victor in the internal elections that the opposition take place next Sunday.

“I am waiting for is, because we’re going to demolish, demolish the ideas that they defend, between now and October quite some time there will be for the ideological battle, the moral battle, the battle of truth against the lie,” said Chavez during an event aired on compulsory television and radio chain.

Next Sunday will be the primary election of the opposition, which will be the candidate who confront Chávez in elections in October, which will become the President of Venezuela for the period 2013-2019.

Presents five Raul, of which favorites are the Governors of the States of Zulia (West), Pablo Pérez, and Miranda (Centre), Henrique Capriles, well ahead of the MEP Maria Corina Machado, exdiplomático Diego Arria and the Trade Union exdirigente Pablo Medina.

Chavez has already assured repeatedly that it shall expire in any of the opponents submitted and in May of last year, he ordered the opposition to nominate its candidate who qualified, even without knowing their identity, “majunche” (little thing).

The Venezuelan President will be candidate for the fourth time. He triumphed in 1998, he won the ratification by referendum in 2000 and in 2006 returned to prevail at the polls and won a mandate which ends in December 2012.

Chavez, 57 years old, was diagnosed in 2011 a cancer whose nature has not reported, which was operated in Cuba and which said to be cured after receiving several chemotherapy sessions.
