Restaurant replaces another and passes the pig at its best in the argentine pampas beef. In other words, the deceased DNA gave way to the workshop of Argentina. Apart from a few additions, the restaurant remained the same side decor, which had been created with talent by Bruno Braen: modern space arranged with elegance, same bar causy.
Owners appealed to a Chief of Buenos Aires to provide a map that reflects the dynamism of this city’s culinary art. It seeks however still a leader at home since the opening, but this in no way affects the quality and originality of the dishes served.
I had invited a friend who loves especially the Argentine tango and, on a trip to Argentina, had attended courses in Buenos Aires. Under the recommendations of the server, my guest and I ordered a malbec any of Argentina.
Argentine beef is one of the best in the world, but be reassured – and evidenced by the beautifully presented map-, there are as many specialties and wines available. To my surprise, the price displayed on the map are reasonable. In addition, suggested lunch an interesting choice for $20. The card, which has a wide choice of meat, poultry and fish, to imagine that Buenos Aires offers a restore very current and cosmopolitan.
Input, my inviteopte for the yellow tomato gazpacho and his touch of raspberry, while I chose grilled and crispy bread strips to the cheese of goat, who will join the small but sufficient mesclun salad with a bit of provolone.
The cold soup was tasty, well seasoned, and without any bitterness. The touch of raspberry brought a hint of acidity beneficial to all, like shallots. As regards my entry, two beautiful strips of grilled bread on which rested a layer of seasoned goat cheese acoquinaient well with the salad. A simple, crisp and well done, mix that can easily make the happy Palace.
For the rest, we opted for a half-chicken of Cornwall grilled and finished in the oven and a net bar cooked skin and, to my great surprise, presented on a bed of quinoa and tomatoes served cold. Nothing unpleasant, especially on a hot humid day, but it would have been good that this is specified in the menu. Very fresh fish was perfectly cooked, but it nevertheless lacked character.
Demi-coquelet-de-roche was, very tasty and tasty wish. It was based on a grilled polenta, all topped with a short lemon sauce.
To complete the meal, proposed a classic for the kitchen of Argentina, thin pancakes filled with milk jam. It’s a pretty sweet dessert, which allowed us to enjoy a wonderful coffee, fit for large tables of Italy, and why not to Argentina.
The workshop of Argentina deserves the detour for an overview of this gastronomic culture rather misunderstood here. On also offers a superb selection of wines by the glass at prices lower than elsewhere for similar quality.
Price paid lunch for two persons with a bottle of wine, before service but taxes included: $108,06.
More: in a very nice setting, can enjoy different cuisine.
Less: it is sometimes difficult to find parking.
