Disagreements

Last year, the session of the municipality of Zapopan remained paralysed for more than three months due to lack of quorum between the aldermen and the then municipal mayor Héctor Vielma Ordóñez. Differences among officials led to a cease-fire in the meetings since April. During May and June they were rebooted, but were sent immediately to break, so several initiatives and points of agreement, opinions were left in the dark.

The situation led to a tense atmosphere between some PRI-ISTAS aldermen and the Mayor himself, resulting in several scenes of the discussions. The reason, said the Mayor, was the absence of agreements, while some mayors pointed as reason the lack of capacity for dialogue by Vielma Ordóñez.
