Starts the arrival of Presidents in Summit of ALBA

CARACAS, VENEZUELA (03/FEB/2012)-Presidents of Latin America and the Caribbean were beginning to arrive Friday to Caracas to participate on Sunday for the Summit of the ALBA and join a day before the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the coup attempt of President Hugo Chávez in 1992.

Castro, which gave no statements on arrival, expected on Saturday to attend events in celebration of the anniversary of the attempted coup d ‘ état that led the then Lieutenant Colonel Hugo Chávez in 1992 against the President of the time, Carlos Andrés Pérez.

“It is a fairly comprehensive agenda,” said Maduro, explaining that this Friday were formed five round tables on issues of politics, economics, social movements, political parties and media of ALBA, which prepared proposals for the leaders.

The Ecuadorian Vice-Chancellor, Kintto Lucas, proposed for its part is seeking “new institutions” to strengthen this regional partnership in the areas of economic, commercial and social integration.

During the Summit, which was convened by Chavez, Venezuela will also pose an economic zone between the countries of the Agency, in 2010 adopted the Sucre (unitary system of Regional compensation), the same value of a dollar, as the accounting unit of the Member countries.
