The Arab League – consisting of 22 countries, including the own Syria and the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) – agreed Sunday requiring the formation of a peacekeeping force to the Security Council of the UN Joint for Syria, as well as increased diplomatic pressure on the regime in Damascus.

The thread of this argument, the Syrian representative criticised, in particular, the position of taste and Saudi Arabia, countries that have put greater pressure to achieve a strong condemnation against Damascus.

“The resolution showed the hysterical State and confusion that live in these countries after its failure before the UN Security Council,” stressed Ahmed, in allusion to the blockade of Russia and China to a sentence in that body.

It also considered that the domain that exerts on the body the opinion of some Arab countries to taste and Saudi Arabia is “a shocking detour of the Pact of the Arab League and a direct hostility (…)” “that it is intended to put an end to stability in Syria”.

For the Syrian representative, Arab Governments themselves are “the reason for the failure of any political solution balanced for the crisis in Syria”.

In his opinion, the Arab League members act with “negligence with terrorist explosions, and funded terrorist armed groups in public or under the justification of providing humanitarian aid”.

According to UN figures, more than five thousand people have lost their lives in Syria because of violence and police repression since in March 2011 exploded the protests against the regime of Bashar Al-Assad.
